the unknown {lately}

 

If you've read my profile, you will know that I currently live in Arkansas and work for a nonprofit with junior high and high school crazies. This past August I began the journey of applying to law school, and all that entails, for the next adventure in life. As of right now I have been accepted to 5 schools. That's awesome & I'm supposed to be pumped about that, right?

Well, right at this moment I am not. Let me clarify, I am so honored to even have the opportunity to choose, and I am excited about this new stage of life. BUT another thing you should know about me is that I think very logically (typically). I have put all the different factors into a color-coded spreadsheet, weighed all the pros and cons, and yet the question remains... where will I be in 6 months? what school should I choose on April 1?

The unknown is not a place I love to live in. In fact, I typically stay as far away from it as possible (hence the learning to be spontaneous), but there is something to be said about being forced to live in the here and now. Today I live in Northwest Arkansas. Today it is a beautiful day outside, and I am so thankful for my job. Today I get to go to hot yoga and sweat. Today I am strangely thankful for the future unknowns. Today I am choosing to smile.
